These guy's house insurance came out cheapest by far for me (not much value in a 1 bedroom flat - 68 quid). I also insured my mobile on the policy for only 26 quid for the year, much cheaper than insurance from mobile phone companies.

They've also been consistently the cheapest for 5 or 6 years on my fiesta. My recent annual insurace was 200 quid vs 360 quid quote from elephant.co.uk. You get 45% intoductory no claims if you don't have any, and 10% off if you have house insurance as well.
