Disadvantages: No one to take responsibility waiting for 30 mins for call to be answered, Indian Call Centres

I am also writing to advice people to steer clear of Norwich Union. Our next door neighbours had a fire and we had to claim through NU for the damage caused to our house. The fire happened in May 2006 and we did not receive the cheque to proceed with work until July and the cheque for our contents was promised on the 2nd August 2006 but we did not receive until 28th September 2006.

No letters of apology or expalanations were received. Oh and in the meantime we have spent over three hours on the telephone with these people.

No one will take responsibilty and the complaints department are worse than useless

Summary: I would not advice anyone to use Norwich Union Home Insurance based soley on my personal experiences
