	Argos Value Floor Standing Uplighter ... is another one of my recent Argos purchases. The lamp is available on its own or in a twin pack. The single lamp costs £4.89 and the twin pack £9.29. I went for the twin pack - to be honest I didn t really need two lamps, but for that price I couldn t resist! Having reserved it online, I went to collect the lamps from Argos. I was a little concerned about how they would be packaged and how I would manage on the bus, but I had nothing to worry about. The lamps are packed in a neat little box which fit easily into an Argos carrier bag and was no problem to carry home. 	Argos Black Curved Floor Lamp ... only I could take credit for some of our best home interior features. Unfortunately all the best bits were hand-me-downs or recommended to us by friends. And in the case of this simple, elegant floor lamp, I have the Guardian Saturday magazine to thank. In a feature entitled "Austerity Chic" in January 2009, this lamp was arranged with a number of other affordable but expensive looking furnishings and textiles. And it s certainly true that it could easily be confused for a more expensive designer brand. 	Argos Value Range Paper Shades ... here. We have the energy saving bulbs throughout the house, but that isn t the problem. Instead of having the normal round light fittings which dangle from the ceiling, ours are square shaped, and consequently, normal lightshades do not fit! We ve tried several types of lightshade but to no avail and we got sick of spending money on something which didn t work! I was browsing through the Argos book one afternoon just having a little look at things to buy, and I stumbled across these in the lighting section.
