... apart from looking stylish its useful too. We have it on in the evenings rather than the main centre light in the lounge. It gives a lovely soft glow down the stairs and into the lounge and also upstairs too. Its a nice affordable lamp that looks a lot better quality than you would imagine for the price and of course it comes in a lot of different colour choices.
If you are looking for a floor lamp I would definitely recommend checking the Argos colour match range....more

Our house is open plan with the stairs going up from the lounge. Our stairs go up in an L shape with a nice rectangle landing separating the 2 lots of stairs. As this landing can be seen from both the lounge and upstairs I wanted something to stand in the corner of it that would look nice. I like my home to be colour coordinated, in fact I'm quite obsessive about it, and one of the places I looked was Argos at their colour match range. For Christmas all I was really concerned about was getting some nice bits and pieces for my flat really a gifts. Having moved to a much larger place on my own opposed to in a flat share I really did need alot of things, and me well I needed nothing for myself lol.
