I have had one of these lights for years and although I can't remember what I paid for it I can tell you that it has never let me down. It was very easy to screw together. It came in sections and I just had to feed the wire through and then screw the rods together. The shade fitted onto the metal stand very easily and just like you would fix a lampshade to a ceiling pendant. I have my lamp behind the tv and with a 40 watt bulb it gives off a lovely glow and I don't have to put the "big" light on because I can see to read just fine with that amount of light. This is another one of my recent Argos purchases. The lamp is available on its own or in a twin pack. The single lamp costs £4.89 and the twin pack £9.29. I went for the twin pack - to be honest I didn't really need two lamps, but for that price I couldn't resist! Having reserved it online, I went to collect the lamps from Argos. I was a little concerned about how they would be packaged and how I would manage on the bus, but I had nothing to worry about. The lamps are packed in a neat little box which fit easily into an Argos carrier bag and was no problem to carry home.
