I ordered these from argos last month, got a twin pack for 9.99. I have wanted some uplighters for ages since I cant stand the eco bulbs and so never use the main light in my living room even though its not light enough with a lamp.

The came wrapped in polystrene block which protect all the parts well but was easy to open.

I got a friend to help screw the bits together as I coulnt get on the floor to do it myselt although it would have been possible to build from my wheelchair but I didnt want to scrap all bits over my floor.

It was quick job took about 10minutes - the base is quite sturdy and round but not sure how well it would handle if you have floorboards and lots of children running around. It would probable wobble with movement.

Although Argos recommend 60 watt bulbs I found them too bright and so had to go and get some 40watt. They are not eco bulbs so was bit worried about supply in future so stocked up for future use.

Very pleased over all you would'nt guess so cheap and fit in corner of room with decor without drawing attention to themsleves. Considering you could easily pay two three or four times as much it holds its ground very well.
