I bought this lamp for a few reasons a while ago;

1) It was cheap and technically all I could afford at the time.
2) It was a floor lamp rather than a normal one that needed a surface to be placed on.
3) It slotted into the corner neatly!

It cost around the £5 mark so peanuts really. It is quite tall and the perfect height for most rooms. It is silver with a sort of triangular looking white uplit shade on top of a silver cone shape.

There is a black cable that holds a switch allowing it to be turned on and off. The base is small and round although not too heavy but it's great for jamming into a corner or as is present behind a couch in the tiniest of living rooms!

It comes in the argos value box which is blue and white and requires you to piece it together which is incredibly simple but there is instructions included if you needed them.

It takes energy saving bulbs which I think is great and even using them it's bright enough to light a room without hurting your eyes or giving you a headache.

It is a little flimsy although if no-one was touching it, it would be fine however I have a testing 2 year old who likes to play with the switch putting it on and off and pushing it over etc and as such where the metal pole is screwed in together the metal has bent and the pole doesn't stay anymore.

When it's first put up the lamp does sit squint, looking like it's going to topple, both times I have bought one it's been the same being obsessed by neatness this bugs me but apart from that it's a great addition to a room and I'd definately recommend it!
