I got a pack of Argos Value Range Paper Shades about a year ago. The pack of three paper shades cost me just £4.99 direct from Argos, which equates to just £1.66 per shade - which I think is a great price and one that I really cannot complain about.

As I said, there are three shades per pack with a shade of a different shape - namely square, triangular and spherical. They do need a little minor assembly which is just a matter of inserting the metal insight into the appropriate paper shape. This is easy to do and is really childs' play. This just obviously then hooks over the light cable - and then the shade covers the lightbulb and provides a decent shade from the light. They are suitable for 60 watt bulbs and this is the bulbs we have used with them without any problems.

The paper is decent quality and does not tear or break easily. However, because the shades are white, they do become discoloured after a year - and our shades are about ready to be replaced. I would like having the option of other colours, but when I was looking I didn't see any other colours available.

Overall, I think these shades are a good value product and I've been quite pleased with the purchase.
