      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A great lamp that I wouldn't want to be without!

Anyone who regularly reads my reviews will now be very well aware that I have moved out of the home that I lived in with my parents to sharing a flat by the sea back in June with my best friend. Priorities of mine now have shifted and I have tried my very best to turn my little nest into something gorgeous, very, very much on a budget!

Almost every single penny I have had since June has gone on so much home wise it is scary now and I think I actually have managed to get all of the necessities I wanted and needed!

I love lamps and as my flat is large I have plenty of places to put them in. Recently I have been putting the finishing touches to my bedroom and when I spotted this lamp in B & Q and on offer for £5.00 I couldn't resist it because sure I had already invested in a gorgeous decorative lamp for my room but still wanted one to go on my dressing table and this suited what I had in mind perfectly as I wanted something that would help to direct light straight at me for doing my make up in!

      The Packaging:

The Lamp came all ready assembled though without a bulb and in a black box. All over that box there was photographs of the lamp on it and on that box I got told that it was Lights Collection 'Exclusively For B & Q' Mini Bobo, Polished Chrome Adjustable Eyeball lamp. Other information on the box included getting told about other Bobo products that B & Q sell (exclusively yet again) and about the bulbs that fit it. It was a nice enough box, the lamp inside was secure as it was padded out with cardboard and it contained all the information I needed about the lamp on the box too.

      The Lamp Itself:

Well the lamp is now shown on the B & Q website returned to its usual price of £6.98 per lamp and it is available in not just the chrome finish that I opted for but also in black and in white. The total measurements of it is Height (cm): 19 Height (inch): 7.48 Width (cm): 16 Width (inch): 6.3 and it is made of metal. It takes 1 5w (E14) Golf Ball Energy Saving Bulbs or 25w E14 Golf Ball Bulb and the maximum wattage you should get (according to the information given on the box is 40w).

Now although this is called mini, well in my opinion it isn't and if you know anything about measurements ( which I don't!) this isn't tiny lets put it that way!

What you get is the round lampshade part which is very much shaped like an eye ball really with the front part of it open of which the light shines through and in there you simply screw in a light bulb. What is nice about this lamp is that there is a discreet label informing you what lightbulbs you can use so you never forget and you can check if you do forget!

The lampshade or eyeball (if you'd prefer to call it that) is on a stand and you can visibly see where it is attached to on the shade/eyeball but it is neat. Although it looks like a flimsy stand it really isn't and the whole thing is not only adjustable with barely any effort needed at all but totally and utterly secure. I can get this into the direction I want the light to go in and it stays put without any flopping about at all.

It has a long black material lead with a small black push button operation which is simple to flip on and on and off not too far from the shade/eyeball and isn't rocket science to use at all.

This lamp is brilliant. Easy to keep clean by wiping over with a duster, it doesn't lose its shine over time and I like the way that this is full directional and that your able to keep turning the eyeball part around on the stand, though do need to detangle the lead.

This is great for doing your make up in ladies but gentleman don't despair it is also great if you want to make models or want to do paperwork or study or something as its a very unisex looking lamp indeed!

I wouldn't be without my Bobo! I can use it anywhere in my flat as its lightweight and transportable has a brilliant long lead on it and I can beam light onto anything! A great buy and only from B & Q!
