      Great lamp, worth the money.

The first thing that attracted me to this lamp was the glass droplet design, but in the shop it wasn't on so I didn't know how it would look with the light shining inside it. However even when off it is nice as an ornament on the bedside table. Fitting it with an energy saving lightbulb (which is more dull than a normal lightbulb), it really did fill the room with soft tones and the droplets create a great gliding effect with how the light comes through the lamp. It makes a real difference having this lamp in a room than having a more typical lampshade style. Once that lightbulb went out I fitted it with a normal, non energy saving lightbulb and found a brighter variation of the light I have described already. Personally I preferred the energy saving bulb in it just because this is a lamp that is perfect for a nicely decorated bedroom and, as it will be used mostly before bed, the softer light was far nicer in that context. Thinking technically, a great benefit to this one was that the plug lead is really long which means there's no need for extension cords because of annoyingly short leads, something I've experienced with table lamps. Overall this lamp is really special and for such a small price definitely worth the buy.

      Beautiful lamp!

Recently I have been doing up my bedroom. I knew the look I was going for and couldn't find the finishing touches very easy at all....until I went to my local Dunhelm store for inspiration and found way too much gorgeous stuff! This costing £16.99 was just what I was looking for. It came in no box with a plug already fitted and a label simply telling me what it is on it and the bulb I need for it and price. The Lamp Itself: The lamp is just as depicted on the top of this page and is simply stunning looking and suitable for wherever you want it of course (not just a bedroom). The base is round and shiny chrome which is sturdy and then you get the long part of the lamp which the bulb fits into with ease (the bulb isn't included by the way). Over that you get a see through glass round and long shade which has a band of chrome round the top of it which conceals the fittings for the beads which are made of glass, square in shape and to the length of the outer glass shade. The lead is long, see through (as is the plug) and on that you get a switch which you push to turn it off and on with total ease. The electrical side of things being clear is very much in keeping with the style of lamp that it is! This is a gorgeous lamp whether switched on or off, easy to wipe clean and easy to use. I love the way the beads catch the light in the daytime and like the expensive finish this has to it! At £16.99 this is a fabulous, feminine sort of purchase that gives off a great light and I love it and have had no problems with it whatsoever! Only available in Dunhelm stores and in one size Total H 35cm (14"), Base 12cm x 12cm (5" x 5"), Shade Dia. 12cm (5") x H 17cm (7") and it takes a 60w max ses candle bulb or 8w energy saver golf ball bulb.
