I've had this lamp for a good few years now. It cost less than a fiver and I honestly didn't think it would still be working but it is! We have these as our bedside lamps. They give off a really nice glow when on that looks much nicer than having the main bedroom light on and really softens the room. The IKEA grono lamp is a brilliant little buy that will be great in nearly any room. The lamp is very simple, itis a single bulb inside a cube made out of frosted glass. There is a groove in the glass which the cable comes out of to keep it stable. This lamp doesn't get very hot so it is okay to use it anywhere in a room. I bought one of these ... Ikea have some great budget lighting options don't they?! This funky bedside or table lamp is only 3.59 pounds - bargain! I use my Grono lamp next to my bed. It is approximately 20cm high and 10cm wide. It takes candle (chandelier) screw-in light bulbs with a maximum wattage of 40W. Bulbs are obviously sold separately from the unit ...
