      Very helpful

Nice looking light for great price.

For some time the light fitting in my kitchen had been on the blink - quite literally actually as it has 3 bulbs (like the light in this review) 2 of them wouldn't work and the remaining one constantly flickered. The light itself was some horrible 70's monstrosity with a fan so when the final bulb blew I decided to replace the whole thing rather than trying to get it fixed.

I turned to the trusty Argos catalogue to have a look at what was available in the lower price range (poor student here) and came across this - the metza nickel 3 light ceiling plate.

Doesn't need much describing as you can see what it looks like perfectly well from the photo! However it may be helpful for some to know that the diameter of the base is 23.5cm and the lights can be turned to the side as well as up and down if you wish to focus light on a certain area.

I'm no electrician and neither is my boyfriend but he fitted this light in under 5 minutes with no problem - if you are replacing an existing light fitting (like we were) then it should be simple enough to do, just don't forget to turn off the electrics first! Argos recommend you get an electrician to fit it, which is probably wise if you have no idea what you're doing.

Also the light fitting uses 3 halogen bulbs which come supplied (no spares) and simply screw into place.

Currently available for £14.99 which is very reasonable in my opinion and looks more expensive.

      Does it work?
Well there wouldn't be much point in buying a light fitting that didn't work or broke easily. I've had this light in my kitchen for a couple of months now and haven't had a single problem with it - no blown bulbs or anything.
