I needed a new lamp for one of my side tables and because i find Tesco direct so convenient, i had a look on the site, www.tesco.com. the products are usually available to collect from my local store but although this wasn't available for collection, the delivery was free and it did arrive a couple of days after ordering.
The lamp itself is a modern design and quite aptly named as is it a fairly low lamp with a curved wave like design. it is a ceramic lamp in a bronze colour and although its reassuringly heavy enough so that it doesn't feel flimsy its not overly heavy and has no hard or sharp edges which could damage wood.
The build goes on the inner part of the lamp at the side and for me was one of those strange bulbs like the ones on my cooker hood. I then duly had to go and buy some G9 bulbs which werent especially expensive. They are which have tiny little looped spikes which slot into the holes and a small oval shaped bulb. They are very easy to fit and give off a surprising amount of light for something so small. Because the bulb is on the inside of the lamp, the light comes from inside the lamp and gives a nice glow as it filters off the bronze colour of the lamp. The bulb is lit by pressing a small switch on the wire so it's nice and easy to operate.
The lamp cost £24.99 and is available from www.tesco.com. I haven't seen it instore but I don't really go to the big superstores.
A stylish lamp which when switched on gives off a pleasant glow which looks especially cosy in the winter. Even when switched off it looks good and looks more like an abstract ornament than a bulb.
For the quality it's not overly expensive, it is easy to set up once you have the bulbs.
Recommended for anyone wanting an unusual and modern looking lamp.
