Bach Rescue Night
Advantages: works well, helps me relax at bedtime and get better sleep
Disadvantages: a little pricey
When I started back to work after being sick for a few months, I found that I had got into a really bad routine and was really restless and anxious at bedtime. This led to me having only a few hours sleep each night and being really tired all day. I decided that I needed something to help me settle down at night, but didn't want anything too strong or artificial, so after being recommended the Rescue brand, I went down to Tesco and picked up a bottle.
What is Rescue Night?
Rescue Night is a herbal remedy designed to help you turn off or blank out those annoying thoughts that creep up on you when you are trying to get to sleep. It is made of 6 different natural flower ingredients, these are Rock Rose, Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum and White Chestnut.
How to use Rescue Night
To use Rescue Night, you simply take 4 drops on your tongue or in a glass of water before bedtime and relax. I find that Rescue Night is very easy to use and actually tastes quite sweet and nice.
Does it Work?
I have found that this remedy is quite effective at helping me switch off after a really stressful day and get some sleep.
I found that when I was having problems sleeping, this remedy helped me get back into a good sleep routine and when I wake up in the morning after take Rescue, I always feel really well rested and ready for the day ahead.
You cannot take Rescue every night, but it is good to use to take on occasion when you are having a lot of bother sleeping, however if you find that you need it and sleeplessness persists, you should consult your doctor.
Price and Availability
A 10ml bottle of this remedy is quite expensive, it comes at around £7.50 a bottle, though Tesco usually put on 3 for 2 offers on it so it is best to keep an eye out for it on sale and stock up if you like using it. I think that although this is very expensive, it is worth it for a good night sleep and if you only use it every once in a while, a bottle lasts for ages.
I think that this is a great sleep remedy, I have found that it definitely has helped me stop repetitive, annoying thoughts at bedtime and also get into a good sleeping routine. Overall I would give this remedy 4 out of 5 stars.
