==Boots Sleep Pillow Mist==
Having had trouble sleeping for quite a while now I have been trying various methods of trying to get to sleep and buying different types of over the counter medication and really anything that claims to aid in the process of getting off to sleep.
Having had no results from the Kalms tablets, Lavender essence in the bath and other herbal items and various remedies that people have suggested to me, I thought I would give this little spray bottle a try as someone at work said it worked wonders for them.
The bottle is a little pump action spray bottle hold 100 ml and costs £5.99 pence which I didn't' think overly cheap but I was prepared to pay anything for a peaceful nights sleep (without having to take prescription medication).
The product itself is basically a mix of essential oils of which Geranium is the main ingredient. It is simple to use with all that is needed is to spray the mist into the air over and around the bed and pillow a short while before you go to bed. The mist will then settle on to the bed sheets and leave a nice smell of florally sweetness which is said to sooth, calm and relax the body.
I have to say that I wasn't sure if the spray would wet the bed linen at all and wasn't too keen on that idea but the mist itself was so light that it seemed to drift somewhat in the air and settle only very lightly on the sheets and no dampness or sticky feeling was felt. The smell that the mist created was indeed very nice and did somewhat relax me. I could smell the flowery scent of the Geranium and the Roses but there is also thyme in the ingredients which I didn't seem to pick up so much but my sense of smell isn't too hot for picking out what smell is what (it has to be pretty obvious or me to notice).
On the whole I did feel more relaxed when I first used this product but I found after a while that I got quickly tired of the smell and it was less and less appealing the more I used it. At first I felt more relaxed but I can't say it helped me to actually sleep any better. It may have rested my mind a little more than usual but possibly nothing more than listening to Enya (that has seemed the most useful of ideas I have tried).
I think for the rather high price tag on this item for what it actually is that I certainly won't be buying it again. I still have quite a lot of the bottle left as you really only need half a dozen or so sprays on each use so a little does go a long way. But I feel it will probably end up being one of those half empty bottles that I seem to have collected under my dressing table that won't get used up before the use by date and after a while will probably get thrown out or given to my mum!
I can't say it was much help and for that reason I am awarding a poor score of 2 stars out of 5. Of course the fact I did feel slightly more relaxed at first was a bonus and the smell isn't too bad at first so I couldn't give it the lowest score.
Not really recommended though!
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
Summary: Didnt' really work for me
