koshkha Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa (Portugal): ... Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort and Spa (henceforth to be referred to more simply as the Hilton Vilamoura) is an enigma of a hotel - it s a five star resort with beautiful interiors but one that looks from the outside like it was designed by Disney. It s absolutely not the type of place that I d ever choose to stay in because I just don t do holidays in this sort of destination and it s not the type of p...

avacarrdo Harbour View International House Hong Kong
... spent the Christmas period in Hong Kong, and although I stayed with friends for some of the period, I also needed to find a hotel to stay at for 9 nights. I booked the "Harbour View International House" from the 15th-24th December. HOTEL OVERVIEW: The hotel is owned and operated by the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong. It is a 320-room, four star hotel located in the Wanchai district on Hong Kong Island. Hotel facilities are what you d expect of most mid-range hotels, and the place has both a restaurant and a tea house. LOCATION: The hotel is located right on the waterfront in the district of Wanchai. Some of you, especially anybody familiar with the "Suzy W...

... have just come back from a trip to Antigua where myself and my wife got married. We had booked to stay at the Cocobay hotel but on our first night in Antigua we were told we were staying at the Hawksbill hotel instead as our other hotel had overbooked on the first night. All I can really say is I m glad it was only the first night we had to stay here - the resort is nice in a basic way and the staff of the hotel are great but the actual rooms and grounds seem to need doing up as the room we had was very old fashioned (and apparently it was an upgrade as compensation!) and the plants and gardens look like a gardener hasn t been near them in a while! The hotel is made ...

chcouper Ripley Court Hotel (Dublin)
... going to Dublin for a long weekend with friends we had been warned that it was an expensive place to visit. This was proved to be true when I started looking for somewhere for us to stay. We were looking for somewhere affordable but a bit posher than a hostel. My search led me to the Ripley Court Hotel. The reasons I chose it were: - proximity to O Connel Street - availability of a triple room - breakfast was included in the price We had three nights (over a long weekend) for 500 Euros which I thought was pretty steep for a two star hotel, considering that all three of us were sharing a room. (Hint: staying from Saturday to Tuesday instead of Friday to Monday woul...
