... friend and I recenly visited Rome and stayed at the Hotel Scott / Scott House. Advantages. * This hotel is slap bang in the city centre. This is great for places to eat, the local shops, transport, etc. In an evening it is also unbelievely interesting watching the people milling around the streets, as it is so different to our culture. I highly recommend at least one evening watching the crazy driving and parking that goes on below your window. * 2 minute walk away from the train station and metro line. ... DID WE BOOK THE RINGHOTEL FRIEDERIKENHOF? We did not actually, in a sense, choose to book this hotel. It just happened to be the venue for a friend s wedding reception. He was marrying a girl from Lubeck in the north of Germany. The invitation arrived last Easter for the wedding on 5th October. We booked our three night stay immediately upon our receipt, and acceptance, of the invitation, having discovered that it was not exorbitantly expensive, had an en-suite room available for the three nights that we wanted to be there, and actually looked rather pleasant on the website. ... are a large hotel franchise organisation. they have many Ramada Hotels in North America and across the world. In England they are called Ramada Jarvis. They are part of a very large conglomerate called Wyndham Worldwide who also own Travelodge, Amerihost, Super 8 and Days Inn among others. The Ramada brand offers a good standard of hotel on the whole; only some are excellent though their quality control is usually good enough to expect at least a reasonable standard; beds are always clean (in my experience) rooms pleasant and bathrooms modern.
