Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) ... 5 star Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, marketed as the only true resort in Dubai. This hotel and complex boasts an amazing 128 acres of ground with its own private beach on the Arabian Gulf. The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is 40 minutes outside of the City Centre, and about 45 minutes from the Airport. On a visit to Dubai I stayed at the Jebel Ali Hotel, you can also stay in the Palm Tree Court & Spa, the hotel is 5 storeys and depending on which side of the hotel you stay you can have a sea view or golf view. We had a sea view but the room didn t offer a balcony or even large windows to enjoy this view, instead it was relatively small and didn t let in ... Hotel El Mouradi Hammamet (Tunisia) ... stayed at the El Mouradi Hotel in Hammamet Yasmine for a week in July 2008. I was a bit worried about the hotel at first as I d read some bad reviews about it but as soon as I stepped in I was reassured that I had made the right choice. It was exceptionally better than what I had expected. The main reception and lobby/lounge area was grand! We checked in and were allocated our room. You can ask for the Sea view or the Pool view.. We went for the Sea view - it looks lovely in the evening when the sun is setting. The beach is only 1 min walk away from the hotel - you just literally cross over the road and your there. Libertador Lake Titicaca (Puno, Peru) ... Lake Titicaca We stayed at the Libertador hotel in Puno, Lake Titicaca which was built in the shape of a liner snuggled into a hillside on Esteves Island on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. It is the only five-star hotel in the region, and all rooms have a view of Lake Titicaca. The views which were stunning and we watched both sunset and sunrise from the lobby area of the hotel which has floor to ceiling windows so that the views are not spoilt at all. Having said the hotel is 5 star is a bit misleading, it is possibly the best in the area and certainly the position is wonderful but the hotel is showing signs of its age ...
