Hotel Sheraton Luxor Resort (Luxor, Egypt) ... persuaded Mr M to visit Egypt in 2008. After a brief trawl through the internet, we opted to travel with Thomson as we had enjoyed a trip to Lake Garda with them the previous year, and the price was resonable. We stayed in the Sheraton Luxor Resort on a bed & breakfast basis for 7 days. Interestingly, we also had to visit Crete that year, and the B&B trip to Egypt was CHEAPER than the self catering trip to Crete! Let me say here, we lucked out. The hotel was fab, the staff were helpful and friendly. We couldn t have asked for more. It s classed as a resort because it has grounds . Hotels in Sydney ... have just stayed in Surfside coogee for a week. This is quite a small hostel, in the suburb of coogee in sydney. Its above mcdonalds and theres loads of cafes and restuarants around so you dont need to worry about going hungry. The company Ozintro have this hostel as the base to sleep everyone who books their activity week, so theres always loads of people there up for a good time. If you want a quiet hostel then this is not for you. There are dorm rooms that sleep 12 and 4, and private rooms that sleep 2. I didnt meet anyone who had a room to themselves so just assumed that they are all dorm rooms. Theres a seperate boys and girls bathroom on both floors which is h... Hotel Aonang Villa Resort (Thailand) ... stayed for 7 nights in a superior room at the Aonang Villa Resort in Krabi during September 2009. This was the second week of our holiday in Thailand and was booked via Kuoni who wangled a deal for us which gave us 3 free nights if we booked 4 so the price for us would have been pretty good. The general rate for this standard of room at this time of year is 3000 BT (£60) per night which I think is very good value anyway. The resort is situated right on Ao Nang beach and next to the main beach front strip full of bars, restaurants and shops.
