Hotel Sea Cliff (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania):
... s wear traditional clothes and look amazing. My boys were fascinated by these warriors and were drawn to their charm, and also their weapons! The Masi were so friendly to my children. The Masai set the African scene within the hotel. The owners have cleverly made the Sea Cliff into a beautifully decorated themed environment, which is not tacky at all. It is tasteful and made me very envious, as well as givin... Read the full review: A piece of paradise in Dar Es Salaam by Emmamac1 |

Lake Nakuru Lodge ... visited Lake Nakuru Lodge as part of an 8 day safari, just for the one night on day 4. The drive to Nakuru from the Mara region was probably one of the most annoying of the holiday, it really did seem to go on and on - but at the end it was worth it to see another stunningly beautiful area. My first memory was approaching the area from about 30 miles away and seeing the sea of pink in the lake - 4.5million lesser pinks! What a sight - and then we entered the reserve and almost immediatly were confronted with the very rare White Rhino crossing the road in front of us - a good start! On arrival at the lodge we were greeted with a lovely cold fresh fruit juice - we got ... Read the full review: Not a bad place to experience Nakuru by sacwhh22 |

Amboseli Sopa Lodge (Kenya) ... spent one night in Amboselli Lodge, and it turned out to be one of the best on my whole holiday, something i wasnt really expecting if im honest! For me there were 3 main highlights, and in addition to these the food there was also amongst the best meals of my trip, partnered by very calm and pleasant service thoughtout. The Roast Pork really is to die for!!! Highlight 1 - The lovely swimming pool and bar area. The pool sat in the back part of the campus, with an amazing view of Mount Kilamanjaro! To add to this, the barman on duty the day i was there was just the friendliest guy you could want to meet, and was a real pleasure to sit and chat to him! Highlight 2 - T... Hotels in Cape Town in general ... spend two months on and off in Cape Town between sep 08 and march 09 .. this is a amazing city with so much to see and do! so what about the hotels? The first hotel i was put in for work was the city lodge .. avoid this by all costs! it is barely ok for one night stopovers let alone a longer stay. Rooms can be paid for by the hour (enough said) and im not actualy sure they clean them between guests. That said, it is very close to the airport. I moved straight to the protea fire and ice in the centre of cape town city. This is a well known chain in SA and it did not dissapoint. Set close to the bottom of table mounrtain the views from the hotel are magnificent, espec... Read the full review: two great hotels in a great city by JonesNav |
