Newest Review: ... cobbled courtyard and a hotel on either side of a pedestrian bridge, Alberto Angelo is on the nearest side if you've walked up from the train station. Alberto Angelo was the only place open at the time, it has a bar/cafe downstairs and the barman was chatting away to two relatively old guys sharing some form of spirit. He summoned his daughter from upstairs who booked me in to the hotel and ... more  ... showed me up the stairs to the room.

I recently reviewed the small town of Edolo in northern Italy, directly north of Brescia in the High Camonica Valley, minutes away from various ski resorts. I turned up at Albergo Angelo relatively late, something like 10pm but in the middle of winter during the holidays and the town was dead. At the top of the town lies a square with two little bridges crossing a river, there's a cobbled courtyard and a hotel on either side of a pedestrian bridge, Alberto Angelo is on the nearest side if you've walked up from the train station.
