We have been to the Allegro five times, each time for a week, and have always had a wonderful time. Yes, there are things that are not perfect. This is a tropical island, not downtown Miami. There are bugs and lizards. There are also amazingly beautiful sunsets, bright flowers, beautiful birds, warm wonderful people and plants not found at home in Pennsylvania. Certain times of the year, mostly the fall, there is a possibility of the trip being interrupted by storms in the gulf and mosquitoes can be a real bother in October. To compensate there is fresh, caught this morning, lobster, eaten on a warm sunny beach under a cover of thatch roof with the fresh ocean breezes warming you. A beer or other drink in hand and an open minded constabulary. Is this heaven or what? Nearly crime free, with friendly people who have always impressed us as helpful and caring. The personell at the Allegro have always made us feel welcome and you must remember, everyone is on Mexican time. Relax, lay back and enjoy.
