Altamar Aparthotel Gran Canaria (Canary Island)

me and my partner visited the altamar in may as last minute half board deal. Now we are both working class citizens so dont expect the ritz or anything but i do expect to get my monies worth.. and if go half board expect the food to be edible and to have plenty of choice. We arrived late in the middle of the night with everyone else on our coach and as i wasnt in the mood neither had the energy to fight out way to the check in desk to the one receptionist checking everyone in. The resort of Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria is basically built into high, volcanic, rocky hills and, of course, the Altamar Apartments (where we were staying) are right at the top. When we arrived it was very early morning and still dark, with no shops open. The hotel staff were all very friendly and check-in was done quickly and efficiently with the chance to purchase bottles of water at the reception. The reception area was beautiful and clean. A very large area with a door at either end and open windows all around keeping it lovely and cool.
