... stayed at this resort for 4 nights in September 09. The cost was £30 a night on expedia and ebookers (breakfast not included). At this price it was certainly a lot cheaper than most other resorts on the island while having the facilities of a resort (pool, spa, gym, beach etc.). Berjaya Tioman Beach Resort Tioman Island ... stayed here in July 2009 for a week lured by all the reports of it being a paradise. Berjaya Beach resort is made up of wooden chalets on a large area of land including a golf course nice stretch of beach full of coconut trees, monkeys monitor lizards (2 metres) and deep jungle just behind. Having stayed ina number of resorts in Malaysia I can definately recommend this one highly. It had a decent gym with good equipment. Amazing buffet breakfast and a selection of restaurants, although room service menu is not great for choice. The chalets are clean with aircon and ensuite. Phangan Rainbow Bungalows - Thailand ... couple of quid into port on the island. From here we simply boarded a shared mini bus taxi which was going in our general direction on the island. This again cost very little, but you can haggle down the price a little bit if you choose. How did we hear of this place? We booked most of accommodation for our trip online. For many of the Asian places we visited, we simply booked the first night. We took this approach simply because of our experiences in Hong Kong- where we booked what seemed to be a nice hostel and turned out to be the worst place I will ever stay! Holiday Inn Atrium - Singapore ... t use it so I can t actually remember what it was. Dining: When booking, there were two price options: either with or without the breakfast. I opted to go for the breakfast, as having a buffet breakfast is one of my favourite things about staying in hotels. There was a very good selection of Western-style breakfast foods and some Asian foods. There were also some muffins and pastries, so I was able to sneak something out to have later for my lunch (I m sure I m not the only one who does this!).
