Advantages: Contemporary, large and airy, pool table & bar area.

Disadvantages: A drive from the sandy beach

We came back from our second visit to this villa a few weeks ago and I've just stumbled on this review posted by smitchloopy55. During our 2008 visit (which was our first) we had issues with the how clean the villa had been left for our arrival but I have to say to the credit of the owners they sent their cleaners back up to the house to rectify our concerns the minute I complained. I am pleased to say that this years holiday in the villa was fantastic the cleaning company has been changed and the new villa management couldn't do enough for us. In fact our little boy had a eye infection and my husband couldn't find the hospital, so I called the Manager and within half an hour she was at the villa and we followed her down to the town's hospital. Little things like that mean alot when you're taking your young children away.

We found the area was brilliant for our family, quiet enough for small children but still several really good restaurants within walking distance and the sandy beach at the arenal a short driveaway.

We have holidayed in Javea several times, both as a couple without children and then returning with our 3 young children. We have stayed self catering each time preferring this to a hotel because of the flexibility it affords. This villa is the nicest villa we've stayed in yet. We love its contemporary airy feel and the kids love the outside space and the pool table.

The furniture was perfectly in keeping with the modern feel of the villa. Bedside tables were Ikea but I can't hold that against my holidaying experience because as a package it all fits. The master bedroom has a lovely private terrace where my husband and I would sit after the children were in bed.

When we returned this year we were very pleased to see that the owners have added a bar to the BBQ area which has a shaded pergola covering it .... lovely!

As I've said we've been to Javea for many years so we know the area, many of the villas and are quite in tune with the prices. I would say that this villa represents good value for money. I have noticed over the last year that there are quite a few very high end villas that probably wouldn't have been rented out before coming onto the market but I have to say that their rental rates reflect that £2,000 - £4,500 per week. For that price no I wouldn't expect Ikea but for £1750, marble, granite, bar area, pool table etc. I'd say perfect!
