Advantages: Gorgeous idyllic location with extremely helpful staff

Disadvantages: Restaurants on site quite a bit pricier than those outside the hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel. Right beside its very own beach, immaculately kept (they sweep the beach every evening) it has two pools and lovely gardens. There are several restaurants on site, all of which were fantastic (I stayed here on honeymoon last year). The food is delicious and there is something for every taste.
Although we were on honeymoon and the hotel is ideal for couples there were some young families at the hotel as well, and because of the wide range of activities available it is also suitable for families. There is a spa on site and entertainment in the evenings. It is very close to shops and restaurants outside of the hotel but the best thing by far about this hotel has got to be the staff, they were truly fantastic. No doubt if you are visiting Bali you will probably have heard how friendly the people are, but the staff in the Bali Hyatt outdid any other hotel I have ever stayed in.
The hotel provides transport from the airport, which if this will be your first trip to Bali I would advise booking in advance. It isn't a cheap place to stay but it is definitely worth it.
Some of the amenities (such as the spa) are much pricier than those in the surrounding area, but the staff are very helpful and will let you know this themselves and arrange tour guides to take you to spas and restaurants outside or to see whatever it is that particularly interests you on the island and the cost of these trips is extremely reasonable.
Definitely worth a visit.
