Good - But not the level of attention I expected (Bellagio Hotel)

Advantages: Well positioned, fanatastic fountains

Disadvantages: Service was lacking at times

We visted this hotel in May last year. we were celebrating our 20th Wedding anniversary and as a part of a week's trip to the west Coast we decided to stay a few days in Vegas. We really wanted to push to boat out and so decided to stay at the Bellagio in one of their suites overlooking the lake.

We found that as we were staying mid week it was only a few pounds extra to stay in the suite compared to a normal room - as the standard rooms are in demand during the week for conventions etc.

As we had booked independently we could see the comparative prices. We arrived at about six o'clock after a connecting flight from Los Angeles so we were pretty tired.

The queues weren't too bad too bad to check but we still had to wait 10-15 mins. We weren't disappointed with the room which was amazing and the views of the lake were outstanding. The TV has a special channel so that you can listen to the music that is playing for the fountains.

I was disappointed with the concierge staff who were not that keen to calll us cabs, and the maid service managed to take my nightdress away when they changed the sheets - I was compensated eventually but I kept being advised that they were looking for it.

The hotel is stunning - if you want to eat in the hotel restaurants make sure that you book well in advance. The service in the restaurants is good.

It is also really busy as people just mill around looking at the hotel features
