Belsfield Hotel Windermere

I stayed at this hotel last month (June 2009). Spectacular views over Lake Windermere and set in beautiful grounds close to all the local attractions, this hotel looked promising. The staff were welcoming and their service and help was impeccable. The standard double room in which I stayed was clean and well equiped. The rest of the hotel was generally clean too, including the swimming pool and sauna. The food & drink on offer was very enjoyable, and reasonably well priced, I can fully recommend the full English breakfast. The Belsfield is situated at the top of a hill overlooking the lake windermere, It has a breath taking view across the lake. It could do with a lick of paint on the outside but inside makes up for that. It is a very big and posh, luxurious hotel. When the airshow is on in windermere, The Belsfield Hotel offers the best view of the show and therfore gets very busy and the hotel held an outside pimms bar and food bar this year (08), which was extremely busy but there was a great atmosphere and a nice place to enjoy the airshow from.
