I stayed here in July 2009 for a week lured by all the reports of it being a paradise.

Berjaya Beach resort is made up of wooden chalets on a large area of land including a golf course nice stretch of beach full of coconut trees, monkeys monitor lizards (2 metres) and deep jungle just behind.

Having stayed ina number of resorts in Malaysia I can definately recommend this one highly. It had a decent gym with good equipment. Amazing buffet breakfast and a selection of restaurants, although room service menu is not great for choice.

The chalets are clean with aircon and ensuite. The bathrooms are excellent with powerful showers, always having hot water.

The price varies, I think i booked on expedia special rate at less than £40 a night but have seen prices going up as high as £80 or more. Berjaya have resorts all over Malaysia and I would definately trust the quality again but ultimately it would depend on getting a well priced on line booking.

The only annoying thing was a lack of sunbeds to accommodate the guests and this was made more irritable by the fact that the Germans did get up early invade the beaches and occupy them all day long.

Summary: Would stay there again
