Advantages: Wonderful staff, fantastic and varied food, a great location

Disadvantages: Rooms a little dated

This 4 star hotel in Nassau Bahamas is part of the SuperClub chain, but being part of a chain does not hinder this hotel at all. We visited the Breezes for a 4 day break over Thanksgiving; it was a bargain deal at just £500 including flights so we thought we ought to snap it up.

Before you visit the hotel you will note that it has the perfect location on the beautiful beach front, it has a large split pool, an outdoor hot tub, lots of sports equipment to hire, an outdoor trapeze to try and several restaurants to choose from, these are all fantastic but no brochure will include how warm, friendly and fun the staff are.

For most, the hotel is all inclusive and the kitchen staff are keen to provide you with a taste of the Bahamas and if it's not for you, they will whip up something else. The menus change daily - even in the main buffet restaurant but here there is so much variety that there is always something to try and enjoy - no matter how difficult you are. There are two other restaurants Pastafari (Italian) and the Garden of Eden, these need to be booked ahead but are both worth it - and included in the price. There is also a tasty pool grill for snacks all day.

Apart from food, drinks are also included, and they are certainly not watered down! The bar staff are absolute pros and can whip up any cocktail you fancy, however obscure; the long island ice tea is out of this world! Breezes is definitely for the young at heart with its own Hurricane Club; the organised games in the Club may not be for everyone's tastes, but we certainly enjoyed ourselves!!

On the downside, the rooms are a little dated and you need to note the weather - we were there during the wetter time of year and so there was a bit of a storm, but the entertainment crew put on activities to keep us occupied!

The staff are very helpful about the local scene and will assist you in getting to and from town, even if you want to get the local bus - which is well worth it to get a true feel of nautical Nassau.

I had a fantastic time at Breezes because the staff couldn't do enough.

Summary: A hotel for groups of friends and couples, brilliant staff - a good time for all.
