The Cala Bona hotel shares the facilities of its sister hotel and they stand next door to each other, the Cala Bona has ... more  ... twenty rooms and is for British guests, the sister hotel (the name of which escapes me) has thirty rooms and was full of Austrian, Spanish and French guests. We arrived at the hotel late morning and booked in at reception at the sister hotel, the bar, pool, sun terrace, games room and breakfast room are all at the sister hotel. Last summer we decided to book a Thomson Small and Friendly holiday to Ciutadella on Menorca, we had never been to Menorca before but it had been highly recommended to us by friends. We wanted a real Spanish holiday, somewhere with lots of local interest and not just a holiday village so Ciutadella seemed ideal and the Thomson Small and Friendly brochure led us to believe that the Cala Bona hotel was a lovely little hotel with a typical Spanish feel, it looked ideal looking at the photograph in the brochure.
