Now we know who is nice and who is just a cheep snob. The truth is if you are nice to hotel stuff they are twice nice to you. ... up to 10 minutes to heat up to warm, but then got to scolding within seconds and took another 5 or so minutes to cool back down to reasonable. The rooms themselves are of a good size, and come with two double or one king sized bed. Added features beyond what you might expect were a coffee maker (not always coming as standard in US / Caribbean hotels) and a radio alarm clock. There was also ample closet and drawer space, 2 telephones (one bedside, one on the desk across the room) and a single comfy chair. The furnishings all had a local look to them - lots of woven wicker and pale colored wood - but seemed to be of the highest quality. The carpets were equally funky ...

... things must ye know about Sandals. Firstly, they are not cheap holidays. Secondly, and most importantly, when it comes to luxury and quality, in my opinion they are the very best holidays money can buy. It took us over 18 months to save up for our two weeks in St Lucia. During that time we also decided to get married out there, and it was only after this that we discovered that we could do so for no extra cost whatsoever! Bonus! We booked our holiday through Thomas Cook and via Virgin Atlantic, all of whom were excellent. ... Went with wife for three nights. Atlantis is OK for someone with small children who is not price aware. Beach Tower rooms were 3 star rooms despite the fully loaded costs approaching $400/night. Well, I've actually stayed in nicer 3 star rooms. View of Ocean and down into aquariums was good. Mediocre in most all aspects except maybe being a contained resort where young kids would be well contained. Could also say the photo opportunities were of a fairly high caliber. Would not return there for free. Name is a misnomer as one feels more inspiration about Atlantis flying over the Bahamas or visting a real Mayan temple in Mexico than at the mini, non-archealogical, n...
