... Well, certainly the building was covered in scaffolding but the whole time we were there we saw not a bit of work going on. Entrance was through a corridor at the corner of the building and up in a lift to the second floor followed by a trek through a rabbit warren of corridors and stairs. Later we discovered that entrance was also possible through the cafe and we chose this mostly. November 2000. We were looking for a centrally located reasonably priced hotel and picked the Castellino Palio Bianco from those on offer through the description of it that I found on the Web. It is ideally positioned, just off the Palazzo Venezia. This places it in easy walking distance of all of Rome's most famous sights. It is described as 3 star superior tourist. Don't believe it.
