Me and my girlfriend stayed at Hotel Club Portinax last July and must say we were very impressed with Ibiza in generall. The hotel is approximately 1 hours drive from the airport but is quite a nice drive with some nice scenery. On arrival at the hotel we had a very nice welcome at reception and was put at ease straight away with the hotel staff. We were shown to our apartment by a bell boy and was surprised that we were taken through the bar area whilst the evening entertainment was underway with our luggage in tow. The apartment itself was very clean and modern but quite small just one bedroom/living area and toilet/bathroom. The apartment didnt have the best of views looking directly at a high brick wall. (guess we were unfortunate). The pool area is superb, very nicely kept and great for relaxing. The hotel has its own private beach which is very small but is great as they have free surfing, canoeing, etc. There is a activity team there every day and evening and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. By day you can try your hand at table tennis, darts, archery, pistol shooting, etc and at night there is quizes, bingo and caberet. All this again is free. The bar area is nice and relaxing and you can get most drinks here. Outside during the day there is a buffet which serves chips, pasta, rice, etc and the restaruant serves a wide choice of international dishes which were very nice. The hotel is a short walk to Portinax town (very steep hills) but is nice just to get away from the hotel for a bit. Overall i would say this is a great place to get away to relaxe, we had a fantastic time here
