Advantages: Everything! food, hotel, beach, pools- brilliant!

Disadvantages: coming home!

This was the first time I had stayed in a Riu hotel and the first time I had visited Dom. Rep. and I was very pleased with our stay. We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, with my boyfriend and his family, which includes 2 10 year old children.

The bedrooms were very well sized and included a fridge which was filled with water free of charge. The bathroom was also a good size and very clean. The maids visited everyday and did a very good job. Unfortunately we were on the ground floor so we didnt have any spectacular views.

The hotel was a good size and had 2 large swimming pools, there was also plenty of sunbeds around the pool area. The pools were a good temperature and allowed ou to cool down after all that sunbathing!

The food in the hotel was very good and there was always plenty of choice. Breakfasts included eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, cereals, sometimes too much choice!! Dinner in the hotel restuarant included pasta, chips, meats etc, and there was also a pool side snack bar which included, burgers, chips, sausage, pizza etc. Tea times were also on the same high standards with plenty to choose from, plenty of meats, fish, salads, vegetables, that all tasted very nice. There was also a good selection of desserts! Its fair to say we did come bk carrying a bit extra holiday weight because the food was so nice! The drinks at meal times were self serving and there was always staff on hand offereing you water and clearing your plates away.

The entretainment team were very good, working very hard throughout the day and night. There was plenty of activities to do in the day, and there was a childrens entertainment section at nighttime from 7-9 which all the children seemed to enjoy with dancing and games. The nightime show would then come on and was also very good and varied each time.

The beach was just what you imagined it to be like, pure white sand with clear blue sea, and with plenty of sunbeds to go around!

This is definately one hotel where I would return! What makes it extra special is that you can also use the other 2 neighbouring Riu hotels for whatever you wanted so if you wanted a change of scenary then there was this opportunity for you!

Summary: A luxurious hotel in a fantastic place, i would definately return!
