Club Med Punta Cana
Newest Review: ... care for my kids. But the star by far of the Mini Club is Baloo, a young G.O. who is the ultimate pied piper. By the end of ... more  ... the week, there wasn't a kid in the resort who did not know his name, who had not been affected by his joyous personality. On his day off, Baloo came to the pool to spend time with all the kids, opened the Mini Club so my boys could play basketball and tennis, and was intensely entertaining for the entire week. The food was mediocre, and somewhat tiresome, as it is buffet-style. As you will read elsewhere, the bread and the fruit were very good, but I think it is perhaps in comparison to the lack of choice. Punta Cana Club Med is great, right from the ride to the resort from the airport-- which is only 5 minutes!! Even going through customs was a breeze, (we, in fact walked right past the officers, who barely even glanced at us). Our luggage was (nearly) outside our rooms when we got off the bus, and we were greeted with fruit punch and smiles, even though it was nearly midnight. The G.O.'s were all extremely friendly (with the exception of the girls in the store...who can't add, and think you can't either). My highest praise is reserved for the G.O.'s who work in the Mini Club!! I have so much respect for these hardworking, amazing individuals, who ...
