Fantasic all round (Clubhotel Riu Tropicana)

Clubhotel Riu Tropicana - Callas de Mallorca, Mallorca

We stayed at Clubhotel Riu Tropicana in the Summer of 2006 and we travelled with Thomsons.

We booked the holiday online and found the process to quite straight forward.

We arrived at Tropicana around 11.30pm. When you first arrive, you drive round a few winding roads and as it was so dark, we could only see a few appartments. We drove down a small hill where we arrived at the sites reception & shop.

We checked in at reception - it was all marble and lovely cool. The staff were friendly and spoken fantastic english which is always a bonus. We were given our appartment key and a map of the resort. We were also told there was a shuttle bus we could jump on from outside reception that stops at various places around the site.

The receptionist told us we could go up to the restaurant (up steps) and they would provide us with some food, which they did. They had ham, cheese, bread etc all laid out for us which at now 12am was very much needed!!

The bar/entertainment is right next to the restaurant so we could hear lots going on, we popped in and saw it was buzzing, looked great fun.

We then made our way to our room which are set out like appartments all through small hills (hard to explain). The door to them is like a patio door and in your room you get 2 double beds, tv, wardrobe, table and shower & toilet. It was quite large and big enough for the 2 of us.

We explored the site the next day, we found the swimming pool which has its own bar area along with the main daytime bar and snack bar.

Have to say, all the food was amazing. Great quality for all inclusive and all drinks were included too so you don;t need to spend a penny more!!

Beach was amazing, sunbeds all included and only those staying at tropicana are allowed on the beach and at resort.

We will be going back!!
