Advantages: good location

Disadvantages: ok food, nothing special

If you have been to Argassi, you will know that most of the restaurants are of three Greek variety, with a handful of Chinese and Indian thrown in for good measure, Contessa is one of the Chinese ones, located just off the main front street.

The restaurant is reasonably priced and has a good selection of dishes, but the food wasn't anything special. I ordered some prawn toast for starter which were very, very greasy, and a special foo yung as a main which was just an omlette with some veggies and some chopped up tinned ham in it which had no particular flavour.. If you had a choice of a few Chinese restaurants back home and this was one of them, it would be the one that you would probably avoid!

If you really fancy a Chinese meal, there was a much better authentic restaurant which did an all you can eat for 8.50 euros further down the road towards Zante town - the only thing to avoid there was the curry which had some strange animal spine in it...! the rest of the food was very nice!
