It's a funny place Belgium; a little country, artificially constructed to include groups of people that don't really belong together, strategically placed to keep other bigger countries apart and full of expats and diplomats serving NATO and the European Union. Belgium is also of course famous for its overall lack of famous people - Jean Claude Vandamme, Eddie Mercx and Audrey Hepburn - oh, and Johnnie Halliday but everyone thinks he's French. I don't think I've ever got beyond 7 famous Belgians. However, whilst it's rare to hear people declare 'hoorah, I'm off on holiday to Belgium' it also has some really pretty places and perhaps the jewel of Belgium is ...
