Crowne Plaza in general

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza located at Heathrow and found it to be a pleasant experience. My husband and I were traveling with our two year old daughter. We found the staff to be efficient and friendly, which is exactly what you hope for when you are traveling with a toddler. The rooms were spacious and clean. The room easily held the travel cot which was provided by the hotel and placed in our room for arrival. The swimming area had a smaller swimming pool attached to a larger one which was great for children, and perfect for wearing out our daughter before our flight the following moring. --Overview-- Crowne Plaza London City is one of the best located hotels in London. A stones throw from Blackfriars tube station, and a gentle walk from the west end this hotel is perfect if you are a theatre goer. My experience of this hotel was as part of a show and stay package. For £140 pp I got a night stay at this hotel including buffet breakfast plus a ticket to go see the Lion King. ---Getting there --- As previously stated the hotel is right next to Blackfriars tube station. Crowne Plaza Heidleberg Germany I stayed here for a week in August with my company. rooms - My room was a Queen suite with 2 double beds, a huge bathroom stocked daily with fresh smellies - shampoo, body cream, soap, shower cap, sewing kit, and show polish. You can also request items you may have forgotten; toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc (I am crap at packing and always forget something). Although it is Germany, there is also a UK plug socket in the room so no problem if you forget your Euro adaptor. Very good hotel chain in general. I have stayed in a few and have been delighted with all aspects of it. the one I stayed in more recently had a great bar and lounge downstairs, they were a little late getting the food out to us and the gave it us for free. In general, I like to stay in Crowne Plaza hotel. I had few times experiences stayed in this hotel, and always satisfied with the services and rates that they gave to me.
