I didn't have this problem, I walked right in and asked for a room. They offer traditional backpacker rooms, and superior rooms with tv, hot water e.t.c... The D & D inn is a guesthouse in the Khao San Road in Bangkok. The D & D is geared towards backpackers and flashpackers, and offers pretty good value rooms for THB 550 and upwards, although some of the rooms don't have windows. One of the features is the swimming pool in the roof, which gives good views of the Khao San Road.
