D&D Inn

This is definately the best place I have stayed in Bangkok and I have stayed in many hotels in and around Khao San Road. This is the best all round for relative comfort, good atmosphere and facilities. It is a very large hotel slap bang in the middle of Khao San Road. It is marked with a massive big green sign and very easy to find. You have to walk through a little plaza containing tailors and travel agents to get to it. This was the second hotel I stayed in during my visits to Bangkok and i body clock was till adapting, so I was very appreciative of the double doors that keep every bit of light out during the day. Are you a traveller on backpacker plus budget? Are you willing to spend £10 - £15 a night on accommodation in return for Air Con, Cable TV and hot water? Do you want to stay on the Kho San Road? If so then I would seriously consider the D & D Inn. I've spent about four months of my life in Thailand, and I have to say the D & D Inn stands out for offering a really good mid range experience. Yes you can stay in cheaper (and I have), but in return you will get a room the size of a coffin, shared showers, a fan if lucky and no creature comforts. You can stay in nicer but pay much more. The D & D inn is a guesthouse in the Khao San Road in Bangkok. The D & D is geared towards backpackers and flashpackers, and offers pretty good value rooms for THB 550 and upwards, although some of the rooms don't have windows. One of the features is the swimming pool in the roof, which gives good views of the Khao San Road. Their webiste and online booking system isn't the best, although I have heard things are getting better, people were making bookings and not getting their room because they had given it to another customer.
