Having been to Memphis a number of times on my regular Elvis pilgrimages I have had the pleasure (and indeed displeasure) of staying at a number of hotels in the area. The first one I ever stayed at was the DAYS INN AT GRACELAND. As can be surmised by its name, this hotel is part of the 'Days Inn' chain and is located very near Graceland. Indeed, the house of the king is just over the road and you can walk to it in just a couple of minutes. The hotel itself is no great shakes. It is very basic, with rooms that are reasonably clean. They claim to play Elvis movies all day by when I was there the television in my room was broken so I cannot vouch for ...
