Advantages: So close to the Park
Disadvantages: Can be a little pricey
Since first visiting Disneyland Paris in 2007 I have become completely hooked, and have now been three times, and I am waiting to book again for next year. We have stayed in a different hotel each time and we stayed in the Disneyland Hotel the second time we visited in 2008, as we fancied a little bit of luxury.
We always travel by Eurostar, as you can't beat the convenience of arriving directly at your destination, and so its perfect for the Disneyland Hotel, as its literally a two minute walk from the station, where the Hotel is situated right at the entrance to the Disneyland Park. (There are shuttle buses available to all the Disney Hotels, including this one, but its really not worth it, as its quicker to walk).
The first thing I noticed on entering the Hotel is the gorgeous smell that is in the Lobby, its beautiful, and adds to the luxurious feel of the place. The Hotel lobby is huge with a big sweeping staircase leading to the rooms and a beautiful chandilier hanging above.
As we were early, our room wasn't ready, but we were able to check in our luggage, get our park tickets and fastpass (you get one fastpass for each day for standard guests) and head straight into the park. We did a few rides, watched the parade and headed back to the Hotel to check out our rooms. I had been really looking forward to seeing our room, as the Hotel is so grand I had high hopes, and I wasn't disappointed, our room was lovely. It wasn't overly big, but contained a large bed, and a sofa bed for my daughter, a table and chairs, TV unit, and plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe. The bathroom was lovely with double sinks and a shower over the bath with lots of nice toiletries.
The room was exceptionally clean, and again has the most gorgeous smell.
The beds were comfortable and the maid service is excellent, they arranged my daughters nightdress into a lovely design, which I thought was a nice touch.
Every evening chocolate coins are left on your pillows, which is magical for children, as my daughter really believed that Scar (her favourite character) had actually been in the room and left them for her !!!
Breakfast is served from 7.30am and we always got there at this time so as to take advantage of the extra time in the park available to Disney Hotel guest only. Also at this time its not too busy. The food is very good in this Hotel, there is a large selection of Hot Food - sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, along with the usual continental food - rolls, cheese ham and salami, theres also yogurts and plenty of fresh fruit, and freshly squeezed juices and tea and coffee.
There are meet and greets with the characters outside the breakfast room every day, and the queues are much shorter than in the park itself, also you will usually see some characters wandering around the hotel corridors from time to time.
Overall we had a wonderful stay here and I can highly recommend this Hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Disneyland Paris. It isn't cheap, 4 nights cost us over £1000 in June, however for the convenience of being so close to the park its well worth it, and it is a very beautiful Hotel, and you do get what you pay for, also this price includes the park tickets for the duration of your stay, so actually doesn't cost out too badly when you condsider the cost of your tickets on their own (currently £41 each for adults)
We will definately return again, although we have tried another Hotel since, this remains our favourite.
Summary: Lovely Hotel, which we will definately return to.
