On arrival in Manila we were whisked away by limo to the impressive Nikko.The foyer was magnificent, with marble and gold everywhere. A brewery on licence to San Miguel was on site and it was superb. The rooms were sumptious with internet access via the TV and the bed was enormous.The place was spotless and service to match. Breakfast was included and was overwhelming.A chef was available to cook all egg based dishes.Toast was fresh and with salt which normally it is sweet and not to the Western palate.As much as you could eat and drink. Although I have been to the Philippines, it is the first time I have stayed here and it was for only one night. My wife has stayed here before when her flight to the UK was cancelled and the airline put her up here for free. We elected to stay here on our first night in the Philippines because of the location; we know the area very well, and the cost. The Travel agent we used – Philippine Island Connections, had offered us the hotel as part of our flight plans. So where is it?
