Easyhotel.com is basically a place on the internet for booking cheap, or perhaps the preferred phrasing is 'affordable' hotel accommodation. This is a true case of getting what you pay for and like the EasyJet flights; you only get the bare basics.

There are only seven easyHotels in the chain to choose from and I was actually looking for somewhere to stay close to Earl's Court as I was attending an exhibition there. The hotel ended up being about ten minutes walk from the exhibition centre, although it didn't say that on the website. I paid £35 for the room only, just for me. The facilities were minimal and the room was dark and stuffy but clean.

This chain of hotels is operated by Stelios and it was as simple and simple as you might expect.

The website offers seven locations within UK and, in conjunction with partners from all over the world offers hotel accommodation in hotels across the world. It claims an additional 20,000 affordable hotels to choose from but I didn't find their Cyprus selection particularly affordable. There are clearly better deals to be had elsewhere.

Obviously I can't comment on other destinations as I have no experience of those.

The site is easy to use and all you do is to add the dates you want the room for, your destination and grade of hotel required, and click. A list appears and you go from there. However, I did find that there were often no hotels shown for certain dates and booking, for example, a four start hotel in Paphos during November wasn't possible.

You can also watch a video clip of an 'orange' easyHotel and see what's offered for your money but this isn't very informative.

In general, easyHotel is a chain of cheap hotels with just seven locations available and a collection of links to partner sites that sell accommodation across Europe. The easyHotels themselves are cheap but don't expect luxury and make sure that you know exactly where they are located because this isn't always made clear on the website.
