Advantages: From a guest point of view none. Easy money - we're mugs!

Disadvantages: Uncomfortable, extremely small

Sue and I booked our room with easyhotels.com nearly 2 months ago at £30 per night true we did book a small internal room which was one of the cheapest options, but boy are they small with a foot gap at one side of the double bed and the toilet/shower at the foot end.

We stayed at their hotel in West Cromwell Road 5-10 minutes walk from Earls Court station and exhibition centre and 2-3 minutes away from everyday shops like Tesco, Somerfield and Sainsburys. In Earls Court Road there are also lots of food outlets offering plenty of choice.

It was typical that we stayed at the beginning of August and also typical that for once we had good weather, which was good from a sight seeing point of view, but bad in terms of accommodation.

When we arrived the receptionist gave us a choice of 2 rooms - a smaller room on the 1st floor or bigger one on the 3rd. Well, if there wasn't any room for a double bed in ours god knows what the smaller one was like. There are no lifts in this hotel, and what they don't tell you is that the 3rd floor is almost like a 5th and is actually attic space. They have air conditioning on throughtout the night, but despite a breeze near to the door it still feels very uncomfortable.

There were a couple of plug sockets to charge our phones but taking something back to eat is pretty difficult. Despite having showers every morning by the time we got out the hotel door we were getting exhausted just from the stairs.

The rooms do look quite attractive in their bright orange, which goes even on to the shower/toilet floor and the small sink (which had a faulty plug). We were provided 2 bath towels and a hand towel which were pretty comfortable.

From the point of view of making money this offers great potential and they even give you internet access at £1 for 20 minutes and a couple vending machines located in the reception area, but from a customers point of view you feel like you're in a tin of sardines - extremely cramped and Sue and I never felt comfortable or had a decent nights sleep.

Would I use them again, well the short answer is NO, we would rather book a more expensive hotel knowing we'd get better value and a decent sleep. I have given them a 1* rating, which is from our perpsective more than they deserve. It is certainly not a hotel for disabled guests.

Summary: Despite thinking we'd get a good deal, this certainly is not

Oh dear, Travelodge would have been cheaper (or perhaps a couple of pounds at most dearer) and much better!
