Hotel Imperator Guadalpin Banus (Marbella, Spain) ... recently went to Puerto Banus for a friend s stag weekend. Pretty pricey I know, but that is what he wanted! When I heard that the best man had booked us into a five star hotel, I really feared for my bank balance! However, as we travelled in November which obviously not peak season, there were some good deals to be had. We booked standard double rooms at a cost of £100.00 per night, so £50 each per night. We stayed for two nights. £100 for a two night stay (including breakfast) at a five star hotel is pretty reasonable in my book. On arrival we checked in. H10 Gravina Hotel Barcelona ... we arrived at Grupotel Gravina, Barcelona we had a warm welcome and a well needed glass of Champagne. The staff were absolutely brilliant. I purchased the room on Travel Republic (a internet holiday company) and had no problems what so ever. The holiday was a surprise so I obviously wanted every thing to go as smoothly as possible. I can guarantee you that the Hotel looks just as nice from the outside as it does on the inside, the pictures do not do it justice. We were shown on a floor plan our room and then off we went up to seperate lifts, which at the time did seem a little strange. Hotel Melia (Benidorm, Spain) ... Benidorm In choosing the right hotel for our trip to Benidorm I had visions of the show Benidorm where chavvy Brits sit buy the pool and shout at Spanish waiters. So when looking on the web we found the Hotel Melia, a four star hotel situated not right on the beach, but ten minutes walk up the road. The hotel is a huge building with a large lobby and swimming pool to boot. Upon arrival we took a quick scout around, the lobby is huge with large ornate flower arrangements and a man who plays a grand piano in the evenings. Downstairs there is the large dining hall and the entrance to the spa, as well as a large conference hall and pub. Outside is the large swimming...
