Stepping back to medieval times 'Disney style' is how you could describe your first impressions of Excalibur. This fairytale castle experience is not one to be missed when you visit Las Vegas. Make sure you book your room with a turret - that's where they put the Jacuzzi!!

Our room's furnishings and linen were of a very high standard and 'themed' accordingly.

Try the Excalibur Buffet (when we went it was $5.99). A fantastic choice of roasted and grilled meats and fish dishes, pasta and rice dishes, salads and vegetables. (The blue cheese dressing with real chunks of cheese is heaven!) - go back as many times as you like. Beware the 'help yourself' ice-cream machine and the buckets of fudge sauce and other toppings they serve on the side - very very naughty indeed! Be prepared to put on a stone if you stay more than a few days.

The mid-week prices are amazing - $30 for a double and there always seem to be special offers on but beware if there is an event on in town be prepared to pay 5x this!

Yes it is tacky, yes it is fun but this is Las Vegas so what do you expect!

Summary: A fun stay at the Excaliber - just don't expect to loose weight if you dine at the buffet
