We stayed in the Excalibur Hotel in March 2008. At the time they were going through a refurbishment and some of the rooms had been updated to include swanky new LCD TV's and posh furnishings, but unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to get one of those. Stepping back to medieval times 'Disney style' is how you could describe your first impressions of Excalibur. This fairytale castle experience is not one to be missed when you visit Las Vegas. The Excalibur Hotel and Casino is located on the South of the Strip and is by the New York New York and MGM Grand hotels. The hotel has a Medieval theme and its exterior is designed to look like a castle. Check In was efficient, friendly and quick. Main thing that attracted me with this hotel was the price. 59 dollars per night for a view room in July. People have said that the Venetian, Bellagio and Ballys we're the best but all they are, are hotels really. Buildings with thousands of rooms and thousands of people. A 4,032 Room Resort all based around the Camelot Theme. Rooms are spacious but plainly decorated (recently re-done) and based around Two high rise towers.
