Sunny Beach in the west of Bulgaria is an amazing place in the summer time, and what better way to spend your time than staying at the Excelsior Apartments?

Thinking of this place always brings back very happy memories of my time in Sunny Beach back in August....The place was nice and situated in a very good and convenient place - it was just a one minute walk from the beach, literally!

The apartments are all very well presented with a daily maid service and air conditioning in at least one of the rooms inside. The air con seemed to keep the mosquitos away quite nicely!

Each has it's own balcony, sometimes with a table and some nice chairs sat out there. Most of the balconies had a lovely view of the swimming pool (that from some views looks like a teddy bear!) and even the sea was actually visible from where I was.

Situated next to the pool was a bar/restaurant that served a wide variety of tasty foods that were priced quite nicely, not too expensive. We found the cappuchinos to be quite nice, as we drank one every day beside the pool. They also served some lovely cocktails (as did pretty much all of the bars and restaurants in that area).

The only annoying thing about staying in any apartment in Sunny Beach was the noise of bad singing coming from various bars and restaurants late at night that didn't stop until around twelve at night!

The swimming pool was pretty big, giving you plenty of room tyo swim around in. It was daily sweeped and washed around the side of it, but the pool wasn't too clean itself.

Beside the pool were many sunbeds and parasols that people kept coming down to put their towels on for reservation that agitated me quite a bit! Sometimes there simply wasn't enough, therefore we had to resort to sitting down on a small patch of grass.
Reception was nice, the staff were friendly and understood english well. They were helpful.

So overall, an amazing place that I would love to go back to sometime soon! I would definitely recommend going there, that is if you don't mind the occasional bit of noise from surrounding bars. Ignore it, and you'll have a lovely stay there.
